Core Speech Therapy works with children with speech and language disorders. These disorders may include articulation disorders, receptive or expressive language disorders, apraxia, or stuttering.

Melissa Johnson, M.S. CCC-SLP

Melissa Johnson is a Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist residing in Santa Barbara, California. Melissa holds her Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders and her Master of Science in Medical Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Washington. She holds her Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist by the State of California.

Melissa has extensive experience working with a wide variety of individuals with speech and language disorders in diverse settings.  Melissa has worked in outpatient clinics, acute care hospitals, rehabilitation units, schools, and private practice.

Melissa is always up-to-date with the latest advances in the field of speech and language pathology by participating in continuing education programs and attending conferences.
